This might be an issue with the video file itself or with the software settings. You can try checking the software settings to ensure that the audio track is not muted or disabled. If that doesn't work, try playing the video file in a different media player to see if the issue persists. If it does, then the issue might be with the video file.
The reading speed can be displayed in the "Waveform" view of Subtitle Edit. Simply go to "Video" > "Waveform view" and the reading speed will be shown at the bottom of the screen.
I try to adjust durations on tools but the new limit is not taken into account. I would need the column to be in red when it's over this limit. Thank you for your answer.

I'm sorry, but I am not familiar with the specific program "Subtitle Edit" for Windows. However, based on your description, it seems that adjusting durations and setting a CPS limit is not directly supported in the software. You may want to explore other features or settings within the program or consider using alternative software that allows for such customization.
Please help me with the keyboard keys. I wish to swap between edit window (typing window) and waveform window. I wish to get a way-out of mouse while selecting the windows in the software.

If it's not specified in the Settings menu or in the Help section, you can switch between windows in the application using the standard keys. To switch between windows, press Ctrl + TAB. The Alt + Tab switches opened Windows outside the program, while the Control + Tab is for the active application.
I also recommend checking the built-in Help documentation as well to find more about various settings offered by the application.

Hi
In settings/video player change the default player to VLC or MPC. It might help.(you must have these players installed on your computer)
